John Chiles is a partner in Burr Forman LLP’s litigation section and resides in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
He actively practices in courts throughout the southeastern United States predominantly in the representation and defense of financial
institutions. His practice features consumer finance and mortgage finance matters and involves class actions, mass actions,
and individual actions arising out of loan and mortgage origination and servicing.
Mr. Chiles is licensed to practice in Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Texas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Georgia and Florida. He is
admitted to practice in most of the federal district and appellate courts located in these states. He has been selected for inclusion
in Best Lawyers in America and SuperLawyers since 2008.
He was selected by Best Lawyers in America as Class Action Lawyer of the Year for South Florida in 2014.
John is the President of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law.
He frequently publishes and lectures on matters related to consumer financial services and mortgage litigation.
